Deck overview

Bello, Bard of the Brambles is the engine of this Gruul midrange deck: during your turn, every non-Equipment artifact and non-Aura enchantment with mana value 4 or greater becomes a 4/4 Elemental with indestructible, haste, and a draw-a-card combat trigger. The deck is built to exploit that - it runs 18+ MV-4+ permanents, from damage doublers like Gratuitous Violence and Unnatural Growth to value engines like Sunbird's Invocation, Bootleggers' Stash, and Alchemist's Talent, each of which is simultaneously a spell effect and a hasty attacker. The combat-damage draw snowballs into a full hand, and the doublers turn the board lethal. A secondary beatdown plan uses big RG creatures like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Etali, Primal Storm, and Kodama of the East Tree, while a fragile Kodama of the East Tree + Rampaging Baloths + Gruul Turf + Warstorm Surge landfall loop is the deck's only infinite combo. It is a midrange snowball deck that wins by overwhelming the table with card-drawing, indestructible attackers.
