Deck overview

This deck is an Esper aggressive midrange strategy commanded by Alela, Artful Provocateur. The core plan revolves around casting a high density of low-cost artifacts and enchantments to trigger Alela, flooding the battlefield with evasive 1/1 flying Faerie tokens. These tokens are bolstered by tribal and flying anthems such as Favorable Winds, Intangible Virtue, Glen Elendra Liege, and Etchings of the Chosen, or transformed into massive threats via Shadow Puppeteers. The deck sustains its momentum through combat-based card draw engines like Bident of Thassa and Reconnaissance Mission, alongside the burst draw of Skullclamp. While the deck possesses versatile interaction and protective tools such as Scion of Oona and Glen Elendra Archmage, it operates largely through honest combat damage without infinite combos. It relies on outpacing opponents in the air, converting wide boards into lethal swings by Turn 8.
