Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Orzhov combo-control strategy commanded by Mister Negative. The primary game plan revolves around aggressively manipulating your own life total using repeatable life-sinks like Wall of Blood, Unspeakable Symbol, and Doom Whisperer. By dropping your life total to 1, casting Mister Negative allows you to exchange life totals with an opponent at 40 life. This swing instantly drops that opponent to the brink of defeat while gaining you 39 life, which triggers massive direct damage through Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Vizkopa Guildmage. Supporting blink spells like Ephemerate and Cloudshift enable rapid multi-player eliminations across consecutive turns. Robust life-preservation tools such as Angel's Grace and Phyrexian Unlife ensure you survive near-zero life totals, while efficient Orzhov board wipes and exile removal keep opposing boards under control until you execute your lethal swing.
