Deck overview

This deck is a focused Mono-Black Discard Stax and Rack Attrition strategy commanded by Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal // Temple of the Dead. The deck accelerates early mana through positive-mana rocks and rituals to deploy symmetric discard engines like Waste Not, Liliana of the Veil, and Dark Deal. Once opposing hands are stripped, Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal attacks to draw fresh cards and generate an evasive army of Bat tokens whenever opponents discard land cards. Persistent rack effects including Shrieking Affliction, Quest for the Nihil Stone, and Bandit's Talent punish empty hands with heavy life loss. Heavy resource denial from Storm Cauldron and Pox locks opponents in topdeck mode while Tergrid, God of Fright steals discarded permanents. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via combined combat damage, Tinybones, Trinket Thief activations, and passive drain, backed by a compact Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank infinite combo.
