Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord is a Grixis midrange control deck that uses amass Orcs and the Ring tempts you to build a growing Army and refill your hand. Sauron triggers on each opponent spell and when your Army deals combat damage, so you grind card advantage while pressuring life totals. The deck wins through life-drain loops rather than combat, with two related engines: Vito/Exquisite Blood/Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Warren Soultrader/Gravecrawler/Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat. Sauron, Lord of the Rings provides a second amass and reanimation payoff. There is no single hidden commander; Warren Soultrader and Bloodthirsty Conqueror act as combo hubs that the tutors find.
