Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Mono-Blue combo-control strategy commanded by The Unagi of Kyoshi Island. The deck leverages efficient 0-1 CMC fast mana and artifact acceleration to assemble compact infinite combos as early as turn 3. Its primary win condition pairs Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal, generating infinite mana through mana rocks and instantly eliminating all three opponents via mass forced-draw outlets like Folio of Fancies, Fascination, and Prosperity. Backup combos include Hullbreaker Horror artifact bounce loops and Valley Floodcaller with Retraction Helix. While The Unagi of Kyoshi Island is not required for the combo, it turns group-draw artifacts like Howling Mine and Anvil of Bogardan into massive asymmetric card advantage by drawing two cards whenever an opponent draws their second card each turn. A dense suite of free countermagic, including Force of Will, Pact of Negation, and Fierce Guardianship, protects combo execution while disrupting opposing fast wins.
