Commander: Ayara, First of Locthwain

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ayara, First of Locthwain leads a mono-black aristocrats deck that wins by turning endless creature deaths into drain. The primary plan is to flood the board with cheap recursive bodies and token makers (Bitterblossom, Bitterbloom Bearer, Endrek Sahr, Sengir Autocrat) then sacrifice them through Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar, Viscera Seer and Carrion Feeder to trigger Ayara, Zulaport Cutthroat and The Meathook Massacre. Secondary paths are Gray Merchant of Asphodel devotion bursts doubled by Bloodletter of Aclazotz and a big Torment of Hailfire fueled by Cabal Coffers, Nykthos and Bubbling Muck. Ayara is both payoff and card engine, while Pitiless Plunderer and Warren Soultrader act as hidden commanders enabling treasure-fueled infinite loops with Oathsworn Vampire and Bloodsoaked Champion.
