Commander: Gargos, Vicious Watcher

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-green Hydra deck is built around Gargos, Vicious Watcher, leveraging his {4} discount on Hydra spells to turn normally clunky X-cost threats into efficient haymakers. The deck's plan is linear: ramp aggressively, resolve Gargos, then chain hydras and +1/+1 counter doublers into one overwhelming combat step. Kalonian Hydra, Primordial Hydra, and Unbound Flourishing create exponential counter growth, while Hydra Omnivore plus Overwhelming Stampede or Unnatural Growth converts a single huge swing into table-wide lethal. There are no infinite combos in the list; victory comes through massive mediocre trampling creatures. Card flow is provided by The Great Henge, Shamanic Revelation, Inspiring Call, and Chronicle of Victory, though the deck's overall reliance on drawing the right hydras over several turns is its main limiting factor.
