Deck overview

This is a Grixis discard-value deck built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The commander repeatedly connives at the beginning of combat, turning discarded lands into two life loss per opponent and discarded nonlands into counters. Monument to Endurance, Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Cool but Rude, Magmakin Artillerist, and Glint-Horn Buccaneer amplify those discards. The deck also has a broad but uneven interaction package and several Villain cost reducers. Its strongest ordinary position is a turn-5 commander-and-Monument to Endurance engine, followed around turn 7 by a meaningful table-wide damage engine. It does not reliably assemble a lethal finish, a compact combo, or a total lock. Tapped lands, high-cost creatures, limited tutoring, and reliance on surviving creatures keep it in the general midrange range. The deck is strongest when it converts repeated connives into cards, Treasures, and incremental damage while using selective removal to preserve its board.
