Deck overview

This Sultai deck is commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary, focusing on casting high-impact X-spells that generate massive Hydra creature tokens while doubling as mana ramp. Supported by +1/+1 counter doublers like Branching Evolution and Unbound Flourishing, the deck rapidly builds huge threats and applies evasion using Herald of Secret Streams and Garruk's Uprising. It operates as a classic midrange strategy that curves into overwhelming board pressure by Turn 6, aiming to close the game across Turns 7–8 via combat damage or reach through Exsanguinate. While the deck possesses strong internal synergy, high raw power, and solid recovery through redundant big-mana threats, it is vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and lacks dedicated fast-combo kills or persistent stax pieces.
