Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-red midrange strategy led by Magda, the Hoardmaster. The primary game plan revolves around committing regular crimes using cheap burn spells, activated abilities, and utility creatures to create tapped Treasure tokens once per turn. Once three Treasures accumulate, Magda converts them into 4/4 flying haste Scorpion Dragon tokens at sorcery speed. The deck supports this aggressive token beatdown with asymmetric stax pieces like Smoke, Static Orb, and Ensnaring Bridge, which constrain opposing attackers and mana while Magda's flying tokens bypass ground stalls. Midrange threats like Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos and Drakuseth, Maw of Flames provide standalone pressure, while Reckless Fireweaver chips away at opposing life totals whenever artifacts enter. While the deck boasts efficient removal and solid redundancy in low-cost crime enablers, it relies on rummaging rather than raw card advantage, lacks enchantment removal, and possesses limited protection against sweepers.
