Deck overview

This is an Orzhov Equipment Voltron list helmed by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The plan is simple and linear: attack alone, collect free double strike from Rough Divide, and convert each connection into a Squall, SeeD Mercenary trigger that returns a permanent with mana value 3 or less from the graveyard. Twenty Equipment and a cluster of attachers - Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, Super-Soldier Serum - turn Squall (or a backup body like Cloud, Midgar Mercenary or Winter Soldier, Icy Assassin) into a commander-damage clock. A full edict package and Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER give the deck a sacrifice-drain plan when combat stalls. Squall is a 4-mana recastable threat, not a combo piece; Cloud, Midgar Mercenary is the closest thing to a hidden commander, tutoring the steel the deck actually wins with. There are no infinite combos. Games end by suiting up a lone attacker and knocking players out one at a time.
