Deck overview

This mono-green deck focuses entirely on unlocking Sasaya, Orochi Ascendant // Sasaya's Essence. The deck plays 49 lands and a heavy suite of basic land tutors to reliably hold seven lands in hand by Turn 4 or 5. Once cast, Sasaya reveals those lands and flips into Sasaya's Essence, an enchantment that causes every basic Forest to produce green mana equal to the total number of Forests on your battlefield. With 5 Forests, tapping them yields 25 green mana. This mana explosion immediately funds decisive game-ending payoffs on Turn 5, such as Genesis Wave for most of the library, Cultivator Colossus, or an infinite mana loop with Wakeroot Elemental. The deck attacks for lethal damage on the exact turn it goes off using built-in haste enablers like Concordant Crossroads or Wakeroot Elemental. While the deck possesses immense velocity and high resilience to removal, its minimal interactive suite makes it heavily reliant on proactive speed.
