Deck overview

Glarb, Calamity's Augur leads a midrange Sultai reanimator and topdeck control deck built around graveyard value, surveil filtering, and large-scale creature revival. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Glarb early to play lands and high-cost spells directly from the top of the library while stocking the graveyard through tap activations, incidental mill, and card selection spells. Once the graveyard contains key payoffs such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Gravebreaker Lamia, and Wonder, the deck pivots to overwhelming the board with high-impact reanimation spells like Breach the Multiverse, Victimize, and Rise of the Dark Realms. Evasion provided by Wonder and repeated life-drain triggers from black devotion allow the deck to close games across two combat rotations. While vulnerable to early graveyard hate and slowed by taplands, the deck demonstrates strong engine resilience, utilizing redundant recursion engines and uncounterable top-end spells to grind out multiplayer pods.
