Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan lifegain and token-centric combo strategy led by Bilbo, Birthday Celebrant. Rather than racing toward Bilbo's high-life-total tutor activation, the list operates as a resilient creature-combo engine. It aims to generate steady incremental card advantage and board presence through Food tokens and lifegain triggers before assembling one of several compact infinite combinations. Its primary line pairs Rosie Cotton of South Lane with Scurry Oak or Basking Broodscale to create infinite creatures and counters, while secondary engines like Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Herd Baloth provide redundant paths to infinite board presence. If opponents stall combat, passive drain pieces such as Corpse Knight, Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, and Mirkwood Bats convert infinite token generation into an immediate table kill. While light on stack interaction and fast mana, the deck possesses strong creature recursion, allowing it to rebuild effectively through removal.
