Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari graveyard midrange and reanimator strategy piloted by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. It establishes mana acceleration and self-mill in the opening turns, deploying Meren on turn 3 or 4 to build experience counters through sacrifice outlets and utility creatures. As the graveyard fills, Meren creates steady card advantage by returning creatures directly to the battlefield each end step. The deck controls the board using reusable removal creatures such as Ravenous Chupacabra and Woodfall Primus, while Spore Frog invalidates combat-based strategies. The primary win condition bypasses combat entirely: it pairs Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord with Lord of Extinction, whose massive power derived from all graveyards allows Jarad to sacrifice it and drain all three opponents for lethal damage simultaneously. Redundant reanimation and overrun options like Living Death and Craterhoof Behemoth provide reliable secondary paths to victory.
