Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black group slug and lifedrain combo strategy commanded by Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The deck aims to turn the universal game action of drawing cards into a lethal hazard for opponents while generating a large life buffer for the pilot. By deploying symmetrical draw artifacts such as Howling Mine, Temple Bell, and Font of Mythos, the pilot accelerates resource intake while dealing continuous, unblockable burn to the table. In the mid-to-late game, the deck scales its threat level with oppressive tax and attrition enchantments like Painful Quandary, Wound Reflection, and Grave Pact. To close out games, it transitions into burst damage through Gray Merchant of Asphodel, targeted lethality via Peer into the Abyss, or an infinite lifedrain loop using Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose.
