Deck overview

This Izzet deck is built around the paradox mechanic, converting cards cast from exile into overwhelming card flow, combat pressure, and direct damage. Because Spider-Man 2099 cannot be cast during the first three turns, early turns focus on developing mana rocks, foretelling spells, and deploying continuous impulse engines such as Tavern Brawler or Passionate Archaeologist. Once the commander enters on Turn 4, it leverages double strike, vigilance, and repeatable end-step burn whenever cards are played from exile. Mid-game payoffs like Keeper of Secrets, Flaming Tyrannosaurus, and The Lost and the Damned scale damage and token production with every exile cast. The deck grinds opponents down through explosive combat steps and continuous direct burn while disrupting opposing hands with Uba Mask and Urabrask, Heretic Praetor.
