Deck overview

This Azorius Bird tribal deck is helmed by Kastral, the Windcrested, a value engine that rewards combat damage with card draw, +1/+1 counters, or reanimation. The primary game plan is to deploy a wide flying army, leverage cost reducers and anthem effects to make each bird a threat, and grind out incremental advantage through Kastral's triggers and repeatable draw engines like Kindred Discovery and Vanquisher's Banner. The deck wins through overwhelming combat damage, with no infinite combos present. It relies on a dense protection suite to keep its board intact and can recover from wipes via Jackdaw Savior and Kastral's reanimation mode, but lacks fast mana or tutors to accelerate its clock.
