Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Kindred Midrange strategy commanded by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, combining tribal Villain synergies with looting, discard payoffs, and combat-focused board scaling. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost mana rocks and early Villains, casting Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and utilizing his combat trigger to grant menace while conniving each turn. Connive triggers filter cards, place +1/+1 counters on aggressive threats, and trigger Doctor Doom's direct life-drain ability whenever land cards are discarded. The deck builds toward mid-game board dominance using powerful anthem and token engines such as Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, The Squadron Sinister, and Living Laser. While the list excels at incremental card selection, evasive beatdown, and flexible removal, its reliance on untapping with multiple combat permanents leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and lacks compact, non-combat infinite win conditions.
