Deck overview

Lorehold, the Historian is a Boros spells-matter commander who turns every instant and sorcery in hand into a miracle {2} and turns each opponent's upkeep into a one-card dig via his discard-draw trigger. The plan is to land the 5/5 flying haste dragon on turn 4, start attacking immediately, then use the upkeep draws to fire off game-warping spells - Mana Geyser, Apex of Power, Brass's Bounty, Insurrection, Storm Herd - for just two mana each, often on opponents' turns. Copy effects (Double Vision, Pyromancer's Goggles, Primal Amulet, Arcane Bombardment, Return the Favor) multiply those haymakers, and an overloaded Mizzix's Mastery re-casts the whole graveyard. Finishes are volumetric and chain-based rather than compact combos: a giant Mastery turn, a life-total-sized Storm Herd, a table-stealing Insurrection, or Lorehold beats assisted by Boros Charm's double strike.
