Deck overview

This competitive Commander deck is an Abzan Stax Combo archetype commanded by Tayam, Luminous Enigma. The deck aims to establish severe early-game stax locks—such as Drannith Magistrate, Collector Ouphe, Archon of Emeria, and Deafening Silence—to stall fast combo and storm strategies across the table. While opponents are constrained by Rule of Law effects, the deck breaks parity by leveraging Tayam's activated ability to mill cards and reanimate low-cost permanents directly to the battlefield without casting spells. The primary win condition is a compact two-card infinite combo featuring Basking Broodscale and Rosie Cotton of South Lane, which generates infinite colorless mana, infinite Eldrazi Spawn tokens, and infinite counters. This mana fuels Tayam to reanimate the entire graveyard, assembling lethal loops through Orcish Bowmasters or Agatha's Soul Cauldron to finish all opponents in a single turn.
