Frodo Leader of the Nazgul EDH Deck by MrZurkon

Format: Commander

Commander: Frodo, Sauron's Bane

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated "Ring tempts you" voltron strategy helmed by Frodo, Sauron's Bane. The primary game plan is to accumulate four or more temptations of the Ring, then transform Frodo into a Rogue (via his activated abilities) and deal combat damage to an opponent, winning the game on the spot. The deck is packed with cards that trigger the Ring mechanic, especially the nine copies of Nazgul and a suite of instant and sorcery spells that each tempt while providing removal, protection, or utility. Secondary win conditions include combat damage from the Nazgul themselves, which grow with +1/+1 counters each time the Ring tempts you, and the late-game drain from One Ring to Rule Them All. The deck relies heavily on unblockable effects (Rogue's Passage, Whispersilk Cloak) to get Frodo through, and a modest equipment and protection package to keep him alive.
