Ognis by djmffnman

Format: Commander

Commander: Ognis, the Dragon's Lash

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund treasure-tempo deck built around the haste payoff of Ognis, the Dragon's Lash. The plan is to land Ognis early, attack the turn he arrives, and convert every hasty attacker into a tapped Treasure token. Multipliers like Xorn, Jolene, the Plunder Queen, Academy Manufactor, and Goldspan Dragon turn a trickle of tokens into a flood of mana and artifacts, which Professional Face-Breaker, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and one-shot draw spells convert into cards and reach. The deck can win through a massive hasty combat step powered by Old Gnawbone, the Revel in Riches upkeep trigger, Knuckles the Echidna's 30-artifact clause, or an infinite Pestilence loop involving Smaug the Impenetrable. It is a fast, snowballing midrange strategy that punishes any opponent who leaves the door open to hasty attackers.
