Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer by Danetta

Format: Commander

Commander: Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Azorius control deck uses Gwafa Hazid, Profiteer to lock opposing creatures with bribery counters while giving opponents cards, then turns that card draw into advantage. It establishes a soft lock with stax pieces like Archon of Emeria, Deafening Silence, Blind Obedience, Authority of the Consuls and Propaganda, and builds overwhelming card and Treasure advantage with Consecrated Sphinx, Smothering Tithe, Faerie Mastermind, Wedding Ring and Howling Mine effects. Primary wins are Approach of the Second Sun recast with Windfall or As Foretold, and self-decking with Thassa's Oracle, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac. Hullbreaker Horror and Ominous Seas provide alternate pressure. Gwafa is pure interaction; Consecrated Sphinx is the hidden engine the deck is built to exploit.
