Pay the toll in blood by DCheck

Format: Commander

Commander: Liesa, Shroud of Dusk

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Liesa, Shroud of Dusk commands an Orzhov lifegain and drain control deck designed to tax opponent actions while assembling deterministic combo finishes. Liesa applies relentless pressure by forcing every player to lose two life for each spell cast, bypassing traditional commander tax through life payments to maintain continuous board presence. The deck controls the board with disruptive permanents like Blind Obedience, Magus of the Moat, and Kambal, Consul of Allocation while securing high life totals. It secures victory by assembling infinite lifedrain loops pairing Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, or Enduring Tenacity, or executing sudden knockouts with Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Tree of Perdition.
