Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul Dragon tribal stompy strategy led by Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient. The game plan focuses on spending the opening turns deploying 2-3 CMC ramp artifacts, land search sorceries, and cost reducers to accelerate mana production. In the midgame, the deck establishes an aerial presence with efficient 3-5 CMC Dragons before deploying Klauth on Turn 5. Thanks to Klauth's innate haste, it attacks immediately alongside existing Dragons, converting total attacking power into a massive burst of mana that does not empty as phases end. This mana is channeled into post-combat bombs like Utvara Hellkite, Atarka, World Render, and Kindred Summons. Continuous card draw from power-matters engines like Garruk's Uprising and Dragonborn Champion ensures steady card flow, while direct damage from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas converts Dragon deployment into immediate board control. The deck closes games around Turn 7 through overwhelming, evasive combat damage.
