Format: Commander

Commander: Orvar, the All-Form

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Orvar, the All-Form is the engine of a mono-blue combo-tempo deck. The primary plan is to cast Orvar, then repeatedly target your own permanents with cheap buyback instants to double them, ramping Islands and eventually copying Peregrine Drake or Great Whale to make unlimited mana and unlimited Drake tokens. Secondary paths include Ghostly Flicker recursion with Shipwreck Dowser, Hullbreaker Horror bounce loops, and token beats from Talrand, Master of Waves, or Rite of Replication. Orvar is both a value engine and the lynchpin; without it the deck falls back on slower creature-tempo and Hullbreaker lines. Hydroelectric Laboratory and Primal Wellspring serve as flexible spell/land hybrid value pieces rather than a hidden commander.
