Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Niv-Mizzet, Ghost Counsel as a commanding card advantage engine, transforming incidental life gain into substantial card draw. The early game establishes acceleration and passive lifegain triggers through low-cost creatures and enchantments like Soul Warden and Authority of the Consuls. Once the commander or supporting draw engines enter play, the deck rapidly churns through cards while taxing opponents' life totals through Kambal, Consul of Allocation and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary win condition centers on infinite life-drain loops, notably Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, supported by an alternate storm finish with Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir. High-impact silence effects like Grand Abolisher and Silence ensure the combo resolves safely.
