Smaug, the Impenetrable by JordanP

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable, this Rakdos deck is a damage-redirect Treasure engine. The commander is an indestructible, hasty 8/7 that converts noncombat damage into Treasures, and the 99 is built to exploit exactly that: indestructible damage mirrors like Stuffy Doll and Brash Taunter, damage amplifiers like Repercussion and Pain for All, and mass-damage spells like Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction turn board wipes into huge Treasure hoards and direct damage. Those Treasures feed multiple win conditions: Revel in Riches at upkeep, Hellkite Tyrant and Knuckles the Echidna artifact-count wins, Smaug the Magnificent's Treasure-powered sniping, and Alchemist's Talent burn. It is a midrange combo/engine deck that can goldfish a turn-6 win through Revel in Riches plus a wipe, or accelerate with rituals into a haste-Smaug Treasure burst.
