Deck overview

This deck pairs Syr Vondam, Sunstar Exemplar with the companion Lurrus of the Dream-Den, imposing a strict mana value limit of 2 or less on all permanent cards. This hyper-efficient mana curve guarantees rapid early deployment, casting the commander on Turn 2 and establishing an active aristocrats engine by Turn 3. Syr Vondam grows rapidly whenever tokens or creatures die or enter exile, quickly turning into a lethal menace and vigilance attacker. Meanwhile, cards like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Marionette Apprentice drain all opponents simultaneously. The deck leverages high redundancy in sacrificial fodder and outlets, backed by Lurrus of the Dream-Den's graveyard recursion and efficient interaction. While vulnerable to exile sweepers and lacking stack-based countermagic, its resilient reanimation package and punishing death triggers make it a formidable midrange engine.
