Pia Nalaar & Chandra by user9461733

Format: Commander

Commander: Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Boros deck turns exile impulse into a hasty Thopter army with Pia Nalaar, Consul of Revival. Every land played from exile or spell cast from exile creates a 1/1 flying Thopter with haste, so cheap impulse spells like Reckless Impulse and Wrenn's Resolve quickly build a board. The main win is combat after doubling tokens with Elspeth, Storm Slayer and Stridehangar Automaton and giving double strike with Neyali, Suns' Vanguard. Secondary wins come from Chandra planeswalker damage, emblems, and a large Surge to Victory swing. Pia enables the engine but does not combo. Chandra, Hope's Beacon acts as the hidden commander, providing mana and copy effects the deck is built to reuse.
