Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Esper spellslinger control build designed around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed and 15 copies of Sphinx's Approach. By casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater, Y'shtola deals 2 damage to every opponent while gaining life. When equipped with damage-triggered auras like Curiosity or Ophidian Eye, each 3-CMC spell deals 2 damage to all three opponents and draws 3 bonus cards, creating an explosive draw engine alongside the natural card draw of Sphinx's Approach. After filling the graveyard with Approach copies, the deck exiles them to cheat formidable threats like Dream Trawler and Defiler of Dreams directly into play. Supported by free interaction like Deadly Rollick and Snuff Out, alongside protective staples like Teferi's Protection, the deck controls the board while burning the table out in rapid succession.
