Deck overview

The deck uses Raffine, Scheming Seer and a large Sphinx package to create a flying, attack-based value engine. Its unusual strength is the 26-copy Sphinx's Approach package: repeated casts draw two cards, and a fifth copy can find Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign from the library after exiling four copies from the graveyard. Cost reducers such as Sapphire Medallion, Urza's Incubator, and Watcher of the Spheres make the expensive creature curve manageable. Once Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign is active, every Sphinx entry selects cards and supports a growing board. The deck can eventually win through flying combat, Medomai the Ageless, and high-impact threats such as Sphinx of the Steel Wind and The Ur-Sphinx. Its main limits are slow assembly, limited protection, expensive interaction, and the absence of a compact infinite or lock finish. It is much stronger at sustained value than at racing fast combo decks.
