Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Rakdos Spellslinger Reanimator strategy commanded by Magar of the Magic Strings. The game plan revolves around discarding or entombing catastrophic instant and sorcery cards into the graveyard, then using Magar to animate them as 3/3 face-down creatures. By equipping these creatures with evasion tools like Whispersilk Cloak and Key to the City, the deck connects in combat to repeatedly cast copies of devastating spells for free. Resolving Savage Beating enables an infinite combat loop that finishes the entire table on turn 5, while bombs like Rise of the Eldrazi and Breach the Multiverse generate insurmountable board presence. If Magar is suppressed, the deck features a compact secondary win condition in Professor Onyx combined with Chain of Smog to drain all opponents simultaneously.
