Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is led by Gandalf, Party Guest, focusing on a tribal spellslinger strategy powered by legendary Wizards. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap, high-utility legendary Wizards on early turns to build board presence and scale Gandalf's ability. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield on turn 4, his combat trigger allows you to cast massive, game-altering instant and sorcery spells directly from hand without paying their mana costs. High-impact spells such as Aminatou's Augury, Call Forth the Tempest, and Mnemonic Deluge generate overwhelming tempo and card advantage, while asymmetric sweepers like Raise the Palisade clear opposing blockers. The deck converts this momentum into a win through explosive combat damage boosted by Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, Isengard Unleashed, and Surge to Victory. Free protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Flawless Maneuver defend your key creatures at crucial moments, ensuring your engine runs smoothly.
