This Is War by srw

Format: Commander

Commander: Ares, God of War

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ares, God of War leads a Rakdos barrage of hasty, high-power attackers that die during combat, then are returned to hand by Ares's triggered ability for immediate recasting. The deck pivots between a beatdown plan-using creatures like Ball Lightning, Lightning Skelemental, and Impetuous Devils-and an aristocrats chip-damage plan via Judith, Goblin Bombardment, Blood Artist, and Mayhem Devil. Sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Goblin Bombardment allow you to cash in attackers after combat damage, turn death triggers into draw and treasure, and trigger Ares. A secondary shell of Alesha, Anax, and Atsushi provides resilience and token generation. Combat Celebrant and Mass Hysteria can create double-attack turns, closing out opponents quickly.
