Deck overview

This Mardu aggressive deck blends traditional Voltron beatdown with 'hot potato' mechanics that pass lethal threats around the table. Commanded by Zurgo Helmsmasher, the deck aims to deploy early mana rocks and equipment support before casting heavy-hitting beaters that attack continuously. Cards like Slicer, Hired Muscle, Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, and Assault Suit force creatures to attack opponents on every player's turn, multiplying damage output fourfold across each table rotation. The deck mitigates the inherent fragility of combat strategies through a dense suite of equip-cost reduction effects like Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist and a powerful instant-speed toolbox powered by Sunforger. Protection spells like Not of This World, Flawless Maneuver, and Robe of Stars ensure key threats survive opposing interaction, while cards like Grand Abolisher guarantee safe turns. The result is a relentless aggro engine that closes games through compounding commander and combat damage by Turn 7.
