Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is a grindy stax and sacrifice control deck that uses Squall, SeeD Mercenary as a repeatable recursion engine. You establish edict effects and lock pieces like Contamination and Archon of Emeria, then attack alone with a protected Squall to get double strike and return a permanent with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield each combat. Secondary paths win through equipment voltron with Swords and Jittes, aristocrats drain from Sephiroth and Teysa, and Field of the Dead tokens. Teysa, Orzhov Scion and Sephiroth act as hidden commanders that generate value without Squall.
