Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Reanimator and Control strategy commanded by Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator. The primary game plan focuses on filling the graveyard with high-impact creatures using early looting and tutors like Buried Alive, Gifts Ungiven, and Oriq Loremage, then reanimating them ahead of curve using efficient spells such as Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Persist. On Turn 4, the deck cheats game-warping threats like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Sheoldred, Whispering One, or K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth into play. By Turn 5, it accelerates into catastrophic mass reanimation spells like Breach the Multiverse and Living Death, or establishes a devastating mill-and-drain engine with Syr Konrad, the Grim and Mindcrank. Asymmetric stax creatures continuously restrict opposing spellcasting and resources, allowing the deck to close out the game on Turn 7 through overwhelming combat pressure and life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel.
