lorehold spell slingin by user7120240

Format: Commander

Commander: Lorehold, the Historian

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lorehold is a Boros spell-slinger and dragon value deck built around the command-zone miracle engine. Lorehold gives every instant and sorcery in hand miracle {2}, and its upkeep discard/draw lets you churn through your library and cast expensive spells for cheap, often during opponents' upkeeps. The primary path is to land Lorehold, set up topdeck control with Scroll Rack or Sensei's Divining Top, then convert spells into dragons via Rite of Dragoncaller, pings from Guttersnipe and Caldera Pyremaw, and copies from Double Vision, Chandra, and Arcane Bombardment. Combat with hasty dragons plus goad is the finisher; Improvisation Capstone and Dance with Calamity provide explosive value. There is no true hidden commander, although Velomachus Lorehold acts as a second spell-from-top engine.
