Deck overview

This Abzan deck blends lifegain, self-inflicted life loss, reanimation, and combo finishes under Betor, Ancestor's Voice. The deck uses early turns to develop mana rocks and load the graveyard with premier creatures using Buried Alive or Survival of the Fittest. Betor, Ancestor's Voice leverages life loss from painlands, reanimation spells, and black life payments to return creatures straight from the graveyard to the battlefield during the end step, while distributing +1/+1 counters based on life gained. The primary win condition is an infinite life-drain loop pairing Bloodthirsty Conqueror with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity. Alternate win conditions include Bolas's Citadel storm lines, Aetherflux Reservoir bursts, and massive lifelink combat damage with Archangel of Thune or Nykthos Paragon. Redundant low-cost reanimation gives the deck resilient recovery against board wipes.
