Deck overview

This deck leverages Lorehold, the Historian as an unconventional draw-and-cheat engine. By allowing a discard-and-draw trigger on every opponent's upkeep, the commander turns every drawn instant or sorcery into an eligible miracle spell castable for {2} regardless of its printed cost. This allows explosive lines such as miraculously casting Storm Herd, Hit the Mother Lode, Call Forth the Tempest, or high-cost reanimation spells at instant speed during an opponent's turn. Secondary discard synergies fuel graveyard reanimation lines targeting devastating bombs such as Portal to Phyrexia, Utvara Hellkite, and Cityscape Leveler. Topdeck manipulation artifacts like Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top optimize miracle timing, while combat enhancers ensure rapid table closure.
