Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats list uses Sephiroth as both a card advantage engine and a life-draining win condition in the command zone. The deck accelerates in the early turns using premium fast mana and low-drop recurring creatures such as Forsaken Miner, Bitterblossom, and Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia. Once Sephiroth is on the board, sacrificing creatures fuels steady card draw and life swings while chipping down opponents. The primary win condition is an infinite death-trigger loop combining a sacrifice outlet like Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader with Forsaken Miner, which repeatedly triggers Sephiroth's crime-based life drain to wipe out the table on Turn 4. Alternatively, Grave Pact and Tergrid, God of Fright lock creature-based strategies out of the game while Bolas's Citadel provides an overwhelming storm finish.
