Deck overview

This deck is a high-power stompy build piloted by Maular, the Next Evolution. Maular's unique Rulebreaker ability unlocks creatures with mana value 7 or greater from any color identity, alongside any basic land types. The game plan leverages dense early-game ramp through mana elves, land auras, and burst generators like Fanatic of Rhonas and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. By Turn 4, the deck deploys high-impact enablers such as Castle Garenbrig, Natural Order, or Defense of the Heart. This powers out colossal threats on Turn 5, including Craterhoof Behemoth, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Maelstrom Wanderer, and Etali, Primal Conqueror. When Maular attacks alongside these massive creatures, its triggered ability doubles their power and toughness, turning 7-power beaters into lethal 14+ power juggernauts. Protective pieces like City of Solitude, Dosan the Falling Leaf, and Smuggler's Surprise shut down opposing countermagic and spot removal during critical attack turns, closing out the game across one to two combat steps.
