Format: Commander

Commander: Abaddon the Despoiler

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Abaddon the Despoiler serves as the centerpiece of a cascade-matters deck that relies on cumulative life lost to cast cheap spells from the hand with cascade. The primary plan is to deal early chip damage with small attackers and Descent into Avernus, then use Abaddon to chain cascades into discount demons, direct damage, and value permanents. The deck has no true combo; it wins through combat (Bloodthirster extra combats) and burn (Be'lakor, Warstorm Surge, Chandra's Ignition). It can also win by stealing opposing cards via Etali and The Ruinous Powers. Secondary plan: Prosper, Tome-Bound and Nalfeshnee provide card advantage from exile.
