Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast leads an Abzan toughness-matters combat deck that turns high-toughness, low-power defenders into lethal offensive threats. By allowing defenders to attack and assign combat damage using toughness rather than power, cheap walls like Fortified Rampart, Wall of Blossoms, and Wall of Omens transform into efficient beaters. The deck accelerates mana using defender-scaling engines like Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian before deploying Felothar the Steadfast on Turn 4. Felothar also provides potent card advantage by sacrificing zero-power defenders to draw raw cards without discarding. Evasion enablers like Behind the Scenes and Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa make these high-toughness attackers virtually unblockable, while asymmetric board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and Dusk // Dawn decimate opposing creature boards while leaving your army completely intact. Finishers like Tower Defense and Triumph of the Hordes close games rapidly by converting immense toughness into decisive table-wide lethality.
