Deck overview

This Queen Marchesa deck is a dedicated Mardu Aikido and Monarch control strategy designed to manipulate combat dynamics and punish aggressive opponents. Rather than attempting a fast combo, the deck establishes an impenetrable defensive posture using pillowfort pieces like Ghostly Prison and Blind Obedience, while generating steady card advantage through the Monarch mechanic and cards like Esper Sentinel and Mangara, the Diplomat. The core game plan forces opponents to turn their threats against each other using potent goad spells like Taunt from the Rampart, Kardur, Doomscourge, and Disrupt Decorum. When opponents attempt to attack the pilot, lethal retaliatory traps such as Inkshield, Deflecting Palm, and Comeuppance reflect the damage back for devastating blowouts. Supported by a versatile Sunforger toolbox and resilient protection spells, the deck reliably turns opposing aggression into its primary win condition, wiping out the table in the late game with minimal exposure.
