Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black lifegain combo strategy piloted by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. Its primary objective is to leverage K'rrik's ability to convert black mana pips into payments of two life, accelerating mana velocity and rapidly deploying threats ahead of curve. The deck converts this mana advantage into powerful card draw engines, high-devotion mana scaling with Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast, and redundant lifegain synergies. The central win condition is assembling Exquisite Blood alongside a drain-on-gain permanent such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest, forming a deterministic infinite life-drain loop that eliminates all opponents simultaneously. Supporting lines utilize massive life swings via Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Repay in Kind, and Bolas's Citadel. While vulnerable to targeted enchantment removal and reliant on life totals as a mana resource, the deck maintains high resilience through reanimation effects and redundant combo pieces.
