Deck overview

This Simic Poison and Proliferate deck leverages Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres to convert counter proliferation into continuous card advantage. The strategy opens by seeding initial poison counters on each opponent using evasive infect creatures like Blighted Agent, low-cost toxic threats like Venerated Rotpriest, or non-combat spells like Prologue to Phyresis. Once opponents are infected, the deck transitions into a non-interactive clock driven by proliferate engines such as Evolution Sage, Flux Channeler, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Inexorable Tide. With Ezuri on the battlefield, every proliferate trigger replaces itself or generates surplus cards, quickly digging for counter doublers like Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider or overrun finishers like Triumph of the Hordes. Supported by efficient interaction and instant-speed protection like Heroic Intervention, the deck steadily advances all opponents to ten poison counters simultaneously, bypassing traditional 40-life combat math and securing victory through non-combat counter accumulation.
